I was out after work with Al for a run to Trout Lake last night. It was so warm and spring was in the song of some red winged Blackbirds. As soon as I get my Utube lesson, I have a clip of the song as the camera takes a panoramic shot..

Vancouver rail yards full of parked rolling stock

The rail yards were busy last year at this time.. It was hard to cross sometimes because they were building trains. Sometimes the night shift would slam them together (called "humping").

Now there is barely any noise noise from the yards only 200 meters from my place. Last fall they started filling up with lumber cars, now every bit of spare rail is a parking string. The tracks are rusty. Like the economy.

At least the sun was out on Sunday and the weather has warmed a bit. The other side of the coin is the the short cut is always available and sudden jarrings in the middle of the night are not missed.

And these are the first Photos that I have been able to get off my new camcorder (which I always carry now). Tomorrow I will take a lesson in creating my first Utube upload from my own footage. Oh boy! Can't wait.

Judge Dhillon recognizes Bud the Oracle as a Free Man on the Land

The matter was a Summons to a Payment Hearing in Small Claims Courtroom 110 at 9:30. At first I thought that it would be a slam dunk and a savings of the unpaid fine. The clerk had instructed me to look on the court register papers. Low and behold I could not find the name of the person Klaus Kaczor or even Bud Oracle anywhere. I then proceeded to get a stamp of recognition to having been there as an agent for the Person at the appointed hour. They had probably withdrawn the fine to begin with as the Person Klaus Kaczor no longer existed.

The sheriff said that they would get it on the register. I then walk in on the two female clerks in the courtroom and told them that I was Bud the Oracle authorized agent for the Person Klaus Kaczor. They told me it would be up to the Judge to allow that otherwise only the person was allowed to appear, A warrant could be issued if the Judge so chose.

The Sheriff walked in then and informed the clerks that my Klaus Kaczor's matter was being added. He then turned to me and said that I would be required to take off my religious Headgear (bud hat). I asked him if he required Sikhs to take off their turbans? He replied something to this effect "They are one of the recognized religion" I came back with "so my religion doesn't count? Is that in your eyes or the state's?" I was asked to leave until I was called before the Judge.

After a short time there came a call for "Bud the Oracle"

As I entered, I was astonished to find the lovely Judge Dhillon who had accepted my first Claim of Right entered by Jack A Roe. One of the first statements/questions she asked was, "Does it feel good to be a Free man?" I replied "yes it feels good to be Free."

I was never asked to remove my crown of buds, the one with the huge 10 inchers on it. The Judge seemed bemused by it. We established that I was representing my former person and that this person would not be able to have a warrant served upon him as he no longer existed. I then said that the only law I was following in our society, the unincorporated Deuteronomical Society, of which I am the Chief Justice, was that of the Bible. This news seemed to add some apparent joy to the judge and I had a distinct impression that she had a difficult time keeping proper decorum in her court by suppressing an outburst of mirth.

I reminded her of the statement in the Bible about paying your debts and if the court allowed a very reasonable schedule, I would see to Mr. Kaczor's debt. When asked I said that I would surely be able to manage 10 dollars per month. The City lawyer and the Judge jumped at that and I figured that having been established as a Free man on the Land, Bud the Oracle, was worth something and it would be a good omen to start out debt free.

I was then able to state clearly that I was not bound as Bud the Oracle to any city bylaws or services, that my dog was no threat to anyone and he was well loved by the neighborhood. Of course I still pick up dog crap and leash him when walking on sidewalks full of people. But when they are empty and I wish to leave him unleashed in a safe manner, I will.

The judge inquired as to his pedigree. I thanked her very much, the Sheriff and waited to pick up my pay schedule and left, officially recognized as Bud the Oracle.

The video editing requires more concentration than I am able to give after a hard day's work. Thankfully even the really throbbing pain in my left arm/side has left me. I broke down and bought some Tylenol last night because I had woken up flinching with severe pain many times the night before. This is the one which ended up under my left ear when I popped it out as I crashed my C5 a Hang glider into Cochrane ridge in 1980. This morning, first day back after court day it felt really good but, I notice after a hard day it is hurting again.

I really wanted to catch my buddy, Curtis Santiago, who is back from Toronto to perform at the Met. There are two considerations: primarily it is because I am very tired and hurting that I will cancel, but secondarily and also importantly, I don't like alcohol fueled crowds. They are dangerous and of course the Judge was right in asking me to keep away from alcohol. Not that I wish to drink in any way, but even the "feel" if it in other people whose behavior becomes erratic and sometimes irrational, often violent as well, is repulsive to me. And it costs money, too! Besides the concept of video making is drawing me in, luring me to make at least an attempt to formulate a project in light of what can be done. It is so incredibly rich in variation, so laden with choice. All of it seemingly complex to me at the moment, as well. A steep learning curve for me but I might get lucky and have a lesson gifted to me.

Things are in Free Fall! Can you imagine the pervasiveness of the "lawless attitude" in Canada?

This comes to a head because of the "Justice" practiced by the likes of Daft van Dongen and Willy Wally Opal and their entrenched policies.

Since he was a "political" aspiring Judge Mr. Opal has had his imprinted through the old boys club. Certainly his thinking is as stale as the bread the poor are forced to eat in jail. That's a large percentage we see in jail: poor people who are oppressed by poor laws and myopic "leadership." Who else would be to blame for the present predicament of violence throughout our entire society except the people in charge?

On a more personal note. I'm in excellent shape now able to deliver a full days work, no problem.

I'm also playing with my first consumer addiction, my Sony Camcorder. Presently setting up up a cheap used computer with a legal copy of Windows dedicated to video editing. This explains my withdrawal from writing/podcasting. The capabilities of this last year's demo model inexpensive piece of technology amazes me.

I have been accumulating raw footage, some good interviews and getting the hang of encouraging spontaneity from the subject. Some jokes and conversations. Footage from my bicycle while riding with Al trotting on leash (same hand as camera). Still have hours left. Battery is the limiting factor. Bought a larger spare.

It's keeping me extremely busy while not working and I am getting tired of shouting down the wishing well for Sanity.

Should have something up on Utube and posted here by the weekend, hopefully.

Saturday morning Reflections amid more targeted murders: Demolition to Dark Matter

It's Saturday morning. Off work at last! A very tough week where the work was relentless and we were not expecting there being plaster stucco walls rather than drywall. It is a pile off work to dismantle wire mesh backing, remove it and then the stucco rubble. Drywall and metal studs are a “sneeze.” (my contribution to the Demolition Lingo-- they come down so easy all you need to do is sneeze on them). Another “demolingo” phrase I heard said was : All you see is all there is!” Every things humans endeavor/create seems to have its own language it's own expertise . The Law Society and its own corruptions of the English language, some of which can land you in jail; for a long time if you don't understand them. (Jack Roe tells me that the Law Society of BC is having a meeting at UBC, on the 17th of March, when we are going to be doing the Deuteronomy Society thing)

The lure of consumerism is an addictive impulse which grows stronger in a direct co-relationship with the proximity of the Pay Check. Visions of digital video cameras dance through my head as CBC's Radio One Quirks and Quarks is doing an interview with a scientist on “Gravitational Lensing” Dr. Eveline Gates, University of Chicago. Her book is called Einstein's Telescope. What struck me was the talk of “Dark Matter” and how it seems to be making the universe expand at an ever increasing rate.

A thought zoomed in from left field: What if the Universe is literally a figment of “The Living Gian Imagination?” As life grows throughout it in our localized perception, the growth of the collective perception/understanding of the self awareness of the Gian Spirit directly influences the Universe. This spiritual growth of self awareness of the Gian Creature is measured by us today as Dark Matter.

I think it fits somewhat with the modern understanding of Quantum mechanics where we might influence an event by thinking about it and measure our own effect on it. The uncertainty principle.

It is the collective growth of life throughout our universe which is influencing its very fabric. We are part of God, as God is part of all life. And being God, we/all life, defines the Universe collectively.

I wish more people might be open in their thinking rather than waiting for the weekend for another mentally dead state of drunkenness. I hope to reinvent the recreational use of Psychedelics as a healthy alternative to this legal but looser 's amusement. During the sixties, with only a tiny Psychedelic revolution we transformed humanity greatly. I want our universe to expand collectively at an exponential rate. No government has the right to arbitrarily assert itself between any peace way a human chooses to access their perfect state of being in relationship to their own understanding of Gia.

For me, the right to access any mental state of reality that I choose, is my God given right by the fact of my birth into the living God. No human, no government, nothing has the right to limit my choices of mental freedom for whatever reason they wish to conjure unless I am a danger to someone else. Not he Law Society, not the Medical Society, not the Politicians, not catholic Popes, not Allah's Prophets, have the right to interfere for any reason. The prime directive of life demands that each individual BE ALLOWED THEIR FREEDOM OF CHOICE ON EVERY ASPECT OF THE SMÖRGÅSBORD OF LIFE.

Maybe our own social/environmental imbalance is causing the speeding up of the expansion of the universe and what we are measuring is our own negative effect pointing to an end of the cycle of life which we are greatly influencing directly, according to some. The snake consuming its tail.

The White Wolf is waiting for a walk. Therefore I must keep our relationship in balance and go for a sojourn in daylight while the flying lead has subsided a bit. Another woman found murdered in what appears to be a gang hit.

I want to scream when I hear this insanity developed over the restrictions of such beautiful god given substances form Cannabis, to mushrooms, to Opium. The facken idiocy of it frightens me.

The year is 2009, the country is full of corruption and violence over an idiot's law, lying about a health giving plant, because of a religious zealot's racist perception 100 years ago. The Current, Radio One, is another one of my favorite daily current affairs programs. (I think it was the Current part 3 I enjoy radio, the audio, and I believe that one of the problems facing us is the general decrease in human imagination through indoctrination/conformity and a large part of it is directly due to the over use of video. If one reads something or even listens to an audio, their own mind/mental machinery must pick up the slack and color in the details on such limited perceptions. There in was a huge reason for the development of human intelligence; the development of language and story telling. This forced people to use/naturally develop more of their neural net's capacity, ESPECIALLY CREATIVITY.

I truly believe one of the greatest threats to humanity today is our addiction to video, which is expanding conformity on a grand scale and leading to a dangerously reduced diversity of thought.

Anyways, back to the reason I started this post: the piece on the current where they interviewed a modern day vigilante who dresses up and believes himself to be a super hero. What peaked my interest was that his mission was the same as mine. "To get drug dealing out of our neighborhood."

The "super hero" guy is doing it by challenging people who he considers as drug dealing with an in your face type of action> with lights and others dressed up as commando types. He said that he was prepared to physically defend himself (isn't this something that the cops always say when the TASER someone to death for holding a stapler?)

I've had contact with several producers of the Current and wonder why they would give these belligerent violent lynch mobs air time, while ignoring someone who has actually rid our society of a double murderer and continues to use their writing skills/passive resistance to benefit society?

I don't get how these idiots itching for a fight with "local drug dealers" (according to their belief/understanding), give a model that is socially acceptable, do you? Why wouldn't someone like me, be at least as important to todays' mix of thought, as these self proclaimed vigilantes? Does peaceful protest no longer hold a candle to the lynch mob?

I mean I have an interesting super hero hat made of buds and a title proclaiming thought and ideas, creative solutions for millenia, an Oracle. Why would someone wearing camo proclaiming their willingness to "use self defense" be more of a role model than me? Is that like the latest news article proclaiming new arrests in Vancouver in connection with the gang violence. These news spins are more political than substantive when I hear some of the charges. They are indicative of the GWB preemptive strike strategy and bound to fail. But who cares the dumb people will be reassured. The vigilantes might consider more preemptive behavior is also in order. Oh boy what bullshit spin fun this will be. bound to be entertaining at the very least.

I am currently working afternoon shift and biking. Therefore I have made a concession to the fact that there are many drunk idiots bearing arms on our streets: I won't wear my religious headgear for fear of being "sport targeted" in a drive-by shooting.

A more considered critique of the Wally Oppal interview on “the House” CBC Radio One: by bud oracle

The Attorney General of BC, of whom I have often written, has again affronted me personally by coming out with such obvious bull crap. Does he take me for an idiot? On the one hand he states that no crime experts think that harsh laws, tougher penalties alone will deter criminals. Then Wally seems to speak hopefully to those few criminals who might be listening. I have seldom heard such equivocating crap come from someone in charge of public safety, before. Admittedly he is speaking to a limited small number of criminals yet he expects these laws to make our society safer? Is he drunk? Make up your mind, or even a point that is relevant, Wally. Don't try to spin pipe dream doobies from thin air.

The best thing in the way of outrageous, IMO, is when he comes out with a theory about the American Canadian border being shut down the moment we repealed prohibition. First off this is a diversion. It is Wally's jurisdiction and expertise to be concerned with how the law makes our society safer or unsafe, not foreign policy. Second the idea that this Obama administration would shut down trade with Canada over us asserting our own sovereignty is absurd. There is not a shred of evidence for it. Rather this is one instance where instead of Canada taking on Trudeau's old role of the mouse to the elephant, we should try to take up my new position as Elephant driver and guide the Dumb American beast to a safer social path, do our neighbor a good deed. This is the time for leadership, not Wally Oppal's retreat to social injustice through bad laws to appease an oppressor Nation. This proves to me that he has no ethical foundation, if compassion for a safer society is outweighed by trade concerns.

When Wally mentions “the cops got to catch more criminals” HE IS PARROTING AMERICAN PRISON INDUSTRY/Justice system rhetoric. This about making crime an industry, not social safety.

The man is a fraud when he claims to be a product of the sixties, not about to “reveal” his association with pot. To pretend that he understands the other side of the spectrum by implying that he might have toked, is a lie. Wally never had a toke and couldn't prove it to save his life. He is not honest enough to exhibit the compassion a toker has naturally for others made into criminals over something so safe and benign.

I react strongly to this dishonest man's blatant political spin, so poorly disguised and delivered in a con man's pitch. In the original interview off the radio my comments are spontaneously spawned by visceral reactions to the bullshit and my language is a tad colorful, but at least I am honest.

PM Harper Peddles Political crime bill Vancouver

THIS MORNING ON THE Early Edition a young “reformed” (read conforming with government position) gang member was getting his theories aired. Rick asked this punk, as if he were an Oracle, for his opinion on the repeal of prohibition, decrim rather than legalization.

The guy replied “That's an interesting theory! But I think these guys would just find something else to do like right now they have a 24 hr booze delivery service, or undercutting legal cigarette prices by importing cheaper/stolen smokes.”

Yeah, this punk still wet behind the ears gets to say this bullshit, because that is the government line. CBC is working as a bullhorn for the government again.

Think about it. A 5 billion dollar per year business is going reorganize around booze and perhaps midnight delivery services. Why not just allow legal delivery 24 hrs service? Or the absurdity to think that these huge drug empires are going to take up the slack flogging black market smokes.

This is the government fraud on which Harper and the elected members keep trying to deny the validity of repeal/decriminalization, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME USING THE CRISIS AS A POLITICAL FOOTBALL.

This tweaking of the laws , might appear tough on crime to the gullible, but it won't make a spit of difference to the actual violent crime rate. It is an arbitrary linear political solution to bad publicity primarily with a shaky foundation in reality.

This is what we are facing if we continue down this absurd path: 5000 deaths in Mexican drug wars.

Harper to implement more violent crime causing laws in Vancouver on Thursday Feb 26, 2009

Too bad he hasn't got the guts to announce his schedule before he arrives like a thief in the night to lay some more crime causing legislation on us. Here is what the people think as to the real solutions, Mr. Harper:

"Solicitor General, John Van Dongen the Daft, is on BC Almanac Radio One today discussing this violence!" Noon till Two PM, today. The BC Almanac website

The call ins were awesome! I started to listen to the show at home and then had to go visit an employee of the Daft van Dongen's, my probation officer.

How good it was to listen to his BS being refuted on the way. I heard him reluctantly admit to repeal of prohibition as being one possible solution, "That remains the realm of lawmakers."

Purely political bullshit, Mr. Daft van Dongen, because why are the cops always allowed to support prohibition politically within their function as police officers if it is only "up to law makers?"

Are the police officers lawmakers, too?

I'm glad so many, some talented lawyers, took this bullshit artist to task! Thanks!

It was this Daft van Dongen's job to charge the 4 mounties who murdered Robert D at the airport and he had the power to do that. Rather than seeing to an equal rule of Law for everyone, he thinks that tweaking with the already unbalanced power of the state over the accused will work as a strategy for lowering the violence surrounding us.

Are people really that confused to believe something so obviously fraudulent as a solution to such a major deadly complex problem of gang violence, could be slimming of the evidence package and discontinuing the two for one time for awaiting trial? The cops operate illegally mostly already and still these self serving violent fools can't do much.

Why? The laws that these cops are forced to enforce as well as their attitude lead to disrespect. The person who mentioned that the RCMP are hired from a pool of people whose standards are not the normal values of society, was astute in his observation. These out of sync cops are using the prohibition laws to force their own standards on society in a personal way---because they can!

Until I asked them to remove it a few months ago, because I was angry at their pro police coverage, the Early Edition used my voice as a promo leader throughout the day "Hi Rick, this is your buddy again......" or something like that.
